Secured in april 1918 a site of 16 acres on the south bank of the Tees, between Craig,Taylor & Company's shipyard and the
Cleveland Flour Mills,on which to lay down a yard for the construction of ferro-concrete barges of from 150 ft. to 200 ft. long and
up to 1.000 tons net. About 100 workmen are engaged in preparing the site, on which there will be three berths.
