NORDLYS to Det Bergenske D/S, Bergen, Norway. 20/5 1951: In "Hurtigrut" traffic Bergen - Kirkenes. 30/8 1979: Registered for Troms Fylkes D/S, A/S, Tromsø, Norway. 30/3 1980: Grounded at Fedje, refloated and towed to Mjellem & Karlsen, Bergen for repair. 8/6 1980: Back in traffic. May 1983: Sold to Johannes Klovning, Haugesund, Norway. Laid up as a accomodation ship at Bohrinselvarvet, Stavanger. Nov.1983: Sold to Torkel Alendal, Haugesund, Norway. Towed to Karmsund Værft, Karmøy. 1984. Sold to A/S Preco, Oslo, Norway. March 1986: Laid up as a accomodation ship at NUTEC, Laksevåg, Norway. Later towed to Florvåg, Askøy. Dec.1987: Towed to Greåker and rebuild at Bismo Engineering to a conferense center, was supposed to be laid up at Akerhuskaien, Oslo. 13/4 1988: During the rebuildning a fire broke out and she was later declared as a "total loss". April 1988: Wreck sold to Teenas A/S, Tønsberg, Norway to be towed to Spain and broken up. 1988: Under towing from Sarsborg to Bilbao, she grounded at Farsund, but only minor damage. 31/5 1988: Sunk 55 miles NW off Texel, Holland. |
