Bergen, Norway May 1931: In traffic Bergen - Newcastle, in autumn traffic Southampton - Madeira Sept. 1939: Laid up at Stanghelle, Osterfjorden, Norway. 16/3 1941: Seized by the German Forces and taken to Hamburg. There was plans to rebuild her as a mothership for submarines. 15/4 1945: Sunk in Hamburg during a Allied air attack. Sept. 1945: Refloated and towed to Helsingør for repair. 31/8 1946: Towed to Aarhus for continued repair. 19/4 1947: Returned to Helsingør in tow. 23/7 1947 - 9/8 1947: Drydocked at B&W, Copenhagen. 9/8 1947 - 27/11 1947: Continued works at Helsingør. 27/11 1947 - 14/12 1947: Drydocked at Oresundsvarvet, Landskrona, Sweden. 14/12 1947 - 21/3 1948: Continued works at Helsingør. 21/12 1948: Trials 3/5 1948: Delivered back to A/S Det Bergenske D/S, Bergen, Norway. In traffic Bergen - Newcastle, in autumn traffic Southampton - Madeira and Teneriffe. 23/3 1955: Aground off Plymouth 26/3 1955: Refloated. 1965: In traffic Stavanger - Newcastle. 1966. In traffic Bergen - Rotterdam/ Newcastle. 1968 10. Sold to Shipbreaking Industries, Ltd, Faslane. 19/10 1968: Arrived Faslane. |
