News Shipbuilding & Drydock Co. at Newport News, Va. and honoring her
namesake the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Commissioned on 22 November 1969
at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. |

Named after a Greek mythological figure who
is known for his search for the Golden Fleece. U.S.S. JASON was built by
the Los Angeles Shipbuilding & Drydock Co. and commissioned on 19 June
1944. As a repair ship her primary mission is to service the fleet. She
stands by her motto "Ready, Able, Willing" |
