EMPIRE ROAMER. March 1942: Allocated to the Polish Government and completed as NARWIK. 10/10 1942: She rescued over 1,000 passengers and crew from ORCADES which had been torpedoed and sunk by U-172. Survivors landed in Cape Town on 12 October. 1951: Sold to Polskie Linie, Poland. 1967: Sold to Polska Zegluga Morska, Poland. 7/3 1972: Arrived at Bilbao, Spain for scrapping. |
