Autum 1974: Laid up in Mariehamn. 1974 - 1975. Rebuild with more cabins at Jos L Meyer Werft, Papenburg, W. Germany. 19/2 1975: In traffic Stockholm - Helsinki. 21/4 1975: In traffic Åbo - Mariehamn - Stockholm. 15/8 1975: Aground off Nagu. Refloated by the tug NAANTALI. Sailed by own power to Kapellskär for inspection. Feb.1976: In traffic Stockholm - Helsinki. 20/4 1976: In traffic Åbo - Mariehamn - Stockholm. March 1980: In traffic Stockholm - Helsinki. 13/4 1982: On T/C to Brittany Ferries, Morlaix, France. In traffic St Malo - Portsmouth. 14/5 1982: In traffic Nådendal - Mariehamn - Kapellskär. 31/8 1982: Laid up in Mariehamn. 9/6 1983: Renamed WASA EXPRESS. In traffic Sundsvall/ Umeå - Vasa. 10/4 1984: Renamed VIKING 1. Laid up in Mariehamn. 20/6 1984: On T/C to Khalid Shipping Co., Panama. Arrived Rickmers Werft, Bremerhaven, W. Germany for rebuilding, including larger lifeboats and air conditioning fitted. Renamed KHALID 1. 17/7 1984: Departured the shipyard for a voyage to the Red Sea. In traffic Suez - Jeddah. May 1985: Sold to Brave Commander SA, Panama. Renamed MECCA 1. 3/8 1985: Had fire in her engine room when in Suez. Later repaired. Jan 1986: Sold to Khaled Fouda, Kairo, Egypt (Registered in Panama). Renamed AL HUSSEIN II. Jan. 1991: Sold to El Salam Trading & Shipping, Kairo, Egypt, (Registered in Panama) Renamed AL-QUAMAR AL-SAUDI AL-MISRI 1. 1992: Renamed MECCA 1. 1993: Renamed AL-QUAMAR AL-SAUDI II. 1994: Renamed MECCA 1. 28/3 1994: Aground about 15 miles off Safaga.
