deck. The passengercabins was in first hand to be used of the Argentinian Governments employee on voyage between different
harbours. Besides, the ship was fitted with reinforcment in deck for anti aircraft
artillery. ISLAS ORCADAS had an explosion onboard 1968 when the ship was in La Plata during discharging petrol and oil and sank. The explosion put fire in the tankers CUTRAL-CO and FRAY LUIS BELTRAN,
too, and they were also burnt out. ISLAS ORCADAS was raised and broken up during 1970 in Rio Santiago, Argentina.
