1917: Seized by the British Government and operated by J. Ridley Son & Tully, London, U.K.
14/4 1918: Sank 4 miles off Le Havre after collision with the Swedish steamer EL DORADO. LIONEL was on a voyage Rouen to River Tyne in ballast.

17/9 1897: Sank in the North Sea about 15 miles E off Spurn Lightship, after collision with the British steamer EBRO. ANNONA was on a voyage Hull - Nakskov with a cargo of coal.
